You should discuss anti virus with your general I.T. onsite support before making any changes to your anti virus configuration. Some clients use tools from these pages ongoing but only in conjunction
with their own subscription anti virus products. It
is imperative that your online backups are kept virus
free in order to maintain the quality of the information
lifecycle of your network.
The trend micro online scan may take considerable time
to complete and it is therefore recommended that you
run it over night. Inexperienced users should ensure
the antivirus scan has started (indicated by the antivirus
progress bar) before leaving the office to avoid arriving
in to an awaiting prompt next morning.
Backupanytime recommend Nod 32, Sophos, Trend Micro,
Bit Defender and Kasperskey Anti Virus. We try to steer
clients clear of McAfee and Norton where possible, not
because of any anti virus weakness but because of the
way they are embedded in oem systems leaving the use
of competing products intentionally complicated. Removal

You should have registered, up to date antivirus software
on all of your computers. All systems means just that.
Non broadband and non networked systems are a disaster
in waiting as they may be networked at any stage in
the future and relase a payload throughout your entire
office.
