Incident notice

Backupanytime have moved clients from one specific mail server with which we have had outage issues to a replacement mail server. Unfortunately this is not a planned maintenance task and therefore was addressed about one hour before close of business on Tuesday 4th of November. A replacement mail server has been configured. All affected clients are required to make mail configuration changes at their system end as follows.

The new incoming mail server will be mail."your domain"."your extension" where "your domain" represents the part of your website address between www. and .com and where "your extension" represents the domain type such as .com, .net, .org, .edu etc.

Additionally, new passwords have been issued. You may change your own password with or without reference to us.

Our general preference to use our own connection is based around security satisfaction and the absence of any requirement for clients to issue us with third party software account details.
